The imaging day was held on the 21st and 22nd September 2015. The main seminars were in the North West Cancer Research Centre.
The Hands-On is a great opportunity to explore what you and the CCI can do together. If you want more information or advice on suitable samples and capabilities, please contact the CCI ahead of the workshop.
Registration is now closed for the 2015 CCI Imaging Workshop. Thank you to everyone who has registered.
Thank you to everyone who submitted an abstract. The following short talks were selected:
Our invited speakers awarded the best short talk prize to Rosalie Richards (Sée Lab). Congratulations on winning the iPad!
Andreas is a specialist in advanced microscopy, biophysics and image analysis, currently operating a pool of microscopes at the Francis Crick Institute (formely the London Research Institute) and studying cellular and molecular mechanisms of B cell activation.
Alex is a Senior Applications Scientist at JPK Instruments' UK offices based near Cambridge and has nearly 15 years of industrial experience in AFM applications and customer support. He obtained his PhD in force microscopy of polymers from the University of Bristol (UK) in 2001, where he worked in the group of Professor Mervyn Miles.
Thomas works is a Research Associate in the group of Siobhan Braybrook at the Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the mechanics of plant growth and utilises combined Light and Atomic Force Microscopy.
In 2011 Stefanie became the manager of the newly founded Center for Advanced Imaging at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf. Her research focus is the application of fluorescence lifetime imaging spectroscopy and multiparameter fluorescence image spectroscopy to various biological samples to elucidate dynamics and interactions of protein networks in and between cells.
Chris is a 3D Imaging Specialist at Carl Zeiss UK. As project manager he has overseen the development of the Zeiss Lightsheet Z1 from optical bench to market and continues to support users of this and other technologies.
